Dalglish delights in confidence-boosting win
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish praised Fernando Torres and Raul Meireles after his side's 3-0 win at Wolves.
Striker Torres scored twice while midfielder Meireles set up one of his goals and also scored with a spectacular 25-yard volley.
"It is the best [Torres has played] since I've come in," said Dalglish. "It was not just his goals it was the workrate he put in."
He added: "[Meireles] played very well but I thought everybody played well."
The win was the first Dalglish has achieved in four games since returning to manage the club and the Scot believes it came as a reward for the hard work the players put in.
"It feels good to me [getting the victory] and is nothing short of what the players deserve," added Dalglish. "Their application and determination to earn a result was fantastic.
"They had to earn the right to play against a very good side and they did that. We couldn't have asked for any more from the players. Apart from the three goals, it is a clean sheet as well and that is important for everybody.
"The important thing is the win will give the players the confidence and belief. It will make them realise that they have to work hard to get anywhere and they have got it in their locker to do that."
The Reds have been linked with moves for Ajax striker Luis Suarez and, although the Dutch club's boss Frank de Boer does not want any deal to drag on, Dalglish was remaining tight-lipped.
"We won't let Luis go on 31 January at 23.55," De Boer told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. "It's logical and a deal which I made with Rik van den Boog [Ajax general director].
"To replace Suarez will be difficult, but we are ready. We have a Plan B, we know what we want if he leaves."
Liverpool have also had a £4m bid rejected for Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam.
But Dalglish said: "The owners are very supportive and we can bring players in if we find them but the most important thing is to bring in players who can improve us.

"Also we have a huge responsibility to do it responsibly. We are not going to comment on any individual player at any club, we prefer to tell you when we have got something to tell you.
"I don't think it is fair for us to comment on what is going on or speculate. We can bring players in if we want to and it does not depend on people going out.
"There is no sum of money because that would be stupid but if we need something then it is there."
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy believes Liverpool are a different side since his side beat them at Anfield on 29 December when Roy Hodgson, who has since been replaced by Dalglish, was the Reds boss.
"We beat them when Roy was there. He is such a great guy and a top coach but it is Kenny Dalglish coming out of the stand," said McCarthy.
"I think he is enjoying a support and a warmth Roy didn't. He has garnered and nutured that and they are on a better roll than they were because of it."
McCarthy was left to rue a defensive mistake for giving Liverpool the upper hand as Wolves remain in the bottom three.
He added: "I think we let them off the hook by trying to play offside after 30-odd minutes.
"We then got done by a wonder-strike which no-one is stopping - you could have put two goalkeepers in.
"The third one is incidental because the game was finished - two mistakes and a wonder strike."
