An al-Qaeda terror suspect was beaten by four police officers then put in a praying position and asked "Where is your God now?", a court heard yesterday.
Babar Ahmad, 36, was "submissive", wearing just pyjamas, when his house was raided in 2003.
Prosecutor Jonathan Laidlaw QC told Southwark crown court: "He remembers blows to his head."
They repeatedly grabbed his testicles, stamped on his feet and "twisted" his handcuffs, it is claimed.
They then allegedly took him to his prayer room where shoes should be removed with their boots on and "humiliated" him.
Det Con John Donohue, 36, and PCs Mark Jones, 43, Nigel Cowley, 33, and Roderick James-Bowen, 40, deny assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Mr Ahmad, an IT technician from Tooting, South London, is awaiting extradition to the US.
The case continues.
