N-Dubz star Dappy denies three assault charges after petrol station brawl - Mirror.co.uk

N-Dubz rapper Dappy appeared in court today on three assault charges after a petrol station brawl.

Dappy — whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos — is the cousin of X Factor judge and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos.

He will stand trial tomorrow over the early morning punch-up, which happened last year.

The singer, who had a No1 hit with his debut single No Regrets, arrived at Guildford crown court, Surrey, wearing a woolly hat with the title of his album Bad Intentions on it.

He is one of four men charged over the incident.

Contostavlos. 25, denied assaulting two women and a man during the dispute.

He faces a further single charge of affray, which he has already denied.

Today, he entered his pleas to charges of common assault against Grace Elizabeth Cochran, 18, and Serena Burton, 18, and assault of David Jenkins, 23, by beating.

He is alleged to have taken part in the petrol station fight in Guildford at 3.30am on 28 February.

The dad-of-two's co-accused, Kieran Patrick Vassell, 25, of Hammersmith, West London, and Kalonji David Stewart, 32, of Harborne, Birmingham, have each denied a single count of affray.

Another man, Alfred James Miller, 28 of Brentford, West London, pleaded guilty to affray at today's hearing.

His case was adjourned for sentencing at the end of the trial.

A jury in the case was sworn in and the trial was adjourned for prosecutor Brian Stork to deliver his opening statement tomorrow morning.

Contostavlos, of Camden, North London, was accompanied at the court by former N-Dubz manager and music impresario Jonathan Shalit.
