Britain now a safe haven for terrorists, outgoing security expert warns - Mirror.co.uk

HUMAN rights laws have made Britain a terrorist safe haven, the Government's outgoing security watchdog said yesterday.

Lib Dem peer Lord Carlile claimed EU rules made it harder to deport suspects. He said: "This makes us a safe haven for people who want to damage the UK."

He also blasted No10 for axing control orders, but added measures replacing them balance security and civil liberties.
