Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Benfica in the Champions League and must now draw their final group match against Basel to reach the knockout stage.
Benfica took the lead thanks to an own goal from United defender Phil Jones in the 4th minute at Old Trafford.
It was the first goal United had conceded in six games since their 6-1 defeat by Manchester City in the Premier League.
Dimitar Berbatov headed in a Nani cross to level the scores before half time and Ashley Young missed a great chance to give them the lead straight from the restart.
United kept up the pressure after the break and Darren Fletcher put them 2-1 ahead in the 59th minute.
But Benfica were level one minute later after some sloppy defending by United.
A poor clearance from United goalkeeper David de Gea allowed Bruno Cesar to dribble into the penalty area and cross for Pablo Aimar to score.
The results leaves both sides level on nine points at the top of Group C but Benfica are now assured of place in the last 16.
Benfica will go through as group winners if, as expected, they win their final match against Otelul Galati.
United need at least a point at Basel to stay in the competition.
