Katie Price tweets Peter Andre

Jordan and Peter are finally mates again

For the first time since their split back in May 2009, Katie Price has publicly addressed her ex-husband Peter Andre in a positive way.

This afternoon, Katie tweeted Peter about his upcoming appearance on I'm A Celebrity in Australia, signalling that the pair are finally friends.

Newly-single Kate wrote on Twitter: "@mrpeterandre good luck in OZ and remember what I said."

Ooh, we wonder what she said? Mind the ticks? Get off with someone else in the jungle and I'll deck you? Put in a good word for me with Mark Wright? We'll never know... well, until Jordan inevitably lets it out of the bag.

THE tweet

Peter is yet to reply (we think it's bed time in Australia right now), but the tweet represents the end of a frosty 18 months for the ex-couple.

Following the announcement of their split on May 13 2009 – which included the statement 'the fairytale is over' – Katie and Peter argued publicly across magazines and television shows for weeks on end.

In recent months, both Kate and Pete have grown quiet on the subject of each other, avoiding questions and concentrating on their own separate lives.

However, it seems that the pair are finally on friendly terms, with Katie even contacting her ex for no real reason other than to say 'good luck'.

Jordan hinted that the pair may have rekindled their friendship when she appeared on Loose Women on Monday.

On the subject of gifts, Katie said that she's always the one who buys the presents, before admitting that Peter was different.

Saying the first positive thing about her ex-husband in a long time, Katie said: "There has only ever been one person who ever did that for me, Pete.

"Pete was good like that, always buying things.

"But I was married to him."

During the good times...
