Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina insists he has no plans to join Atletico Madrid as a replacment for Manchester United new boy Davd De Gea.
Reina has been touted as a possible successor to De Gea, who arrived in Manchester for a medical on Monday as he prepares to put the final touches to a 17 million transfer.
Reina signed for Liverpool from Villarreal in 2005, but he was born in Madrid and his father Miguel Reina is a former Atletico goalkeeper.
"I know Atletico are looking for a goalkeeper, but I won't be changing colours," said Reina.
"I have a five-year contract and I'm happy at Liverpool.
"I very much welcome this news (of De Gea's switch to Manchester United) because David is a great keeper.
"When it becomes official he is going to start working to prove in the Premier League what a good goalkeeper he is."
