Euromillions: ticket holders urged to check tickets - Telegraph.co.uk

The gulf between one right and one wrong number was highlighted when it emerged that two UK ticket holders who matched all main numbers but just one lucky star will get £1.7 million; itself not a sum to be sniffed at.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "This is amazing news - we are absolutely delighted that a UK ticket-holder has scooped the entire 185 million Euro jackpot, which at the current exchange rate is a massive £161 million.

"We've got the champagne on ice and look forward to welcoming the ticket-holders into the National Lottery millionaires' club."

The prize is the largest ever for Euromillions, and dwarfs the £113 million scooped last year, also in the UK.
