If you were lucky, you might have caught a glimpse of the annual Perseid meteor shower through the reflective glare of the full moon late last week.
But here's a vantage point you couldn't find anywhere on Earth.

That photo was taken by Ron Garan, a NASA astronaut at the International Space Station. It shows a meteor a piece of debris left over from the Comet Swift-Tuttle, in this case on its way into the Earth's atmosphere.
Garan posted the photo to his Twitter account last weekend.
