As Aquabatique take the last spot in Saturday's finale...
Ryan O'Shaughnessy proved he was no one-hit wonder yesterday, winning the last Britain's Got Talent semi-final with another of his own songs.
Last Saturday it seemed as though the singer songwriter's dreams were in tatters.
No only was he heartbroken over a girl but, still under contract with Universal Records after a brief spell on The Voice Of Ireland, he was axed from Britain's Got Talent.
Luckily, Ryan managed to escape his contract with Universal and was voted straight through to the BGT final after winning the hearts of the British public with a heartfelt performance.
Clearly pleased to have the Irish lad back on board, Simon Cowell pointed out: "Their loss is our gain... I really, really, really like you," while David Walliams called the singer a "major star".
Sadly, there was no fairytale ending on the romantic front as Ryan admitted he and the unnamed girl were still just friends.
Fighting it out for the last place in the final were synchronised swimmers Aquabatique and acrobat Billy George. Both acts had impressed the judges, Billy with his astonishing hoop skills (and his six pack), and Aquabatique with their James Bond-themed underwater routine.
Three judges voted to send the gold swimsuit-clad girls into the final, partial compensation, at least, for missing out on this year's Olympics.
Falling at the final hurdle on yesterday's semi-final were 16-year-old singer Hope Murphy, teen comedian Callum Oakley, basketball stunt group Face Team, rapping dalek Martyn Crofts, dance duo Strictly Wheels and laser harp performer Greig Stewart.
Tune in to ITV1 on Saturday at 19.30pm to see who will be crowned the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2012.
