Samsung Galaxy S III: beautiful and intuitive - The Sun Daily

FOLLOWING the highly-successful Galaxy S II, dubbed as the mobile phone of the year 2011, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has just announced its much-anticipated successor, the Galaxy S III.

The nifty device, powered by a beastly quad-core processor in its belly, features a massive 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display for the most exquisite viewing experience.

It has an eight-megapixel camera in the rear with flash and a 1.9-megapixel camera on the front. Both cameras are capable of recording HD video and have zero-shutter lag.

"[It is] designed to be both effortlessly smart and intuitively simple," said Shin J.K., president and head of IT and Mobile Communications Division at Samsung.

True enough, the Galaxy S III is built to enhance the interaction experience between the device and user.

It is smart enough to detect your face, voice and motions with Samsung's innovative 'Smart Stay' feature; its front camera identifies your eyes as you read or web-browse and maintains a bright display for continued viewing pleasure.

The smartphone, running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is also able to understand your motions.

Its 'Direct Call' can dial the number of the person you are messaging when you lift your phone to your ear.

Furthermore, the 'Smart Alert' feature in the phone will spur vibrations to missed notifications when picked up after being left idle.

Additionally, the Galaxy S III also features 'S Voice' which listens and responds to your words – from your telling the phone alarm to 'snooze' to instructing it to play your favourite songs and send messages.

You could also share movie and music files blazingly fast by simply touching another Galaxy S III without WiFi or cellular signal.
The latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy S family also sports a range of additional features to boot.

It features 'Pop Up Play' that allows you to play a video anywhere on your screen while simultaneously running other tasks.

'Burst Shot' function allows you to instantly capture 20 continuous shots while the 'Best Photo' helps you select the best of eight photographs.

Usability aside, the device is a good-looker. Its pebble-shape design concept based on the flow and movement of nature provides users an ergonomic and comfortable experience with a comfortable grip, gentle curves, and an organic form.

The Samsung Galaxy S III will be available from the end of May in Europe before hitting the markets globally. It is available in Pebble Blue and Marble White and is set to come in a variety of additional colour options.
