The 14-year-old was found dead on Sunday morning after apparently breathing in fumes from a disposable barbecue in a tent.
Brother Ben, 11, mum Danielle, 30, and stepdad Phil Jones, 49, were last night recovering in hospital from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning after being found unconscious in the tent.
It is believed the family were using the barbecue to keep warm as temperatures plunged on their Bank Holiday weekend camping trip.
Friends inundated websites with tributes to Hannah, who went to Wilmslow High School in Cheshire.
Holly Smith posted: "R.I.P Hannah Thomas-Jones. You will be deeply missed by everyone. You were a beautiful girl."
School friend Elise Potter wrote: "Live everyday to the full, because you never know when awful things are going to happen."
Elise added: "Knowing that we have a double lesson of PE on Tuesday without Hannah making us all laugh and smile, makes me so sad, going to miss you."
Another friend used Twitter to ask pop star Olly Murs to join in tributes, saying: "Hannah was a huge fan and was going to see you in concert. It would mean the world to her."
Hundreds visited a special Facebook page set up in memory of Hannah.
Chloe Hay posted: "You were the highlight of my life." Another friend said: "This beautiful girl will always be in our hearts."
Ben's condition in hospital was last night described as "stable but unwell". Danielle and Phil were said to be "comfortable".
A friend said the family, from Handforth, near Wilmslow, loved the great outdoors. The pal, who asked not to be named, said: "They are the nicest people you could wish to meet. They are very community-spirited and love the outdoor life camping trips, skiing, walking."
The friend added: "Ben loves football and plays for a local team which Phil manages. I'd known Hannah for five or six years and she was one of the nicest girls I have ever met.
AN INVESTIGATION has been launched into 14-year-old's death at campsite
"She was so supportive of her brother with his football. She'd be there every Saturday cheering him on. She was just a lovely girl.
"My son came in last night and said, 'I think a girl at my school has died'. I was devastated when I found out it was Hannah."
The tragedy happened on a campsite at a pub in Bucknell, Shrops.
Hannah's family had met up with relatives, who found them unconscious after they failed to get up on Sunday morning.
The family issued a statement through the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, where Ben, Danielle and Phil are being treated.
The statement said: "Our priority as a family is to ensure that the three people in hospital get well and are fully recovered. We are devastated by this tragic accident."
Police are still investigating but say there are no suspicious circumstances.
SAFETY experts renewed their warnings over disposable barbecues last night after Hannah Thomas-Jones became the second girl in a month to be killed by one.
A Sun survey of barbies found all carried warnings saying they should never be used indoors or in a confined space.
The British Safety Council said: "Always follow the instructions. Carbon monoxide kills."
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents said: "Never use a barbecue in a tent for heat. You risk fire as well as poisoning." A girl of six was killed by barbecue fumes in a tent in the New Forest last month.
