UK judge accuses Apple of 'lack of integrity' in legal battle with Samsung - Zee News

London: A UK Judge has slammed Apple saying that bosses at the tech giant showed a 'lack of integrity' by saying they would take two weeks to change an ''unapologetic'' advert on its website about its patent lawsuit loss to Samsung.

Sir Robin Jacob, during a hearing in a London court, also accused Apple of publishing ''false and misleading'' material on its website.

The iPhone maker posted a notice on its website last month acknowledging a British court ruling that said Samsung had not copied Apple's iPad in designing its own tablets.

However, the notice also referenced similar cases in Germany and the US in which Apple defeated Samsung and made reference to the judge's comments in the British case that Samsung products were "not as cool".

"What Apple added was false and misleading," the Daily Mail quoted the judge, as saying.

"There is a false innuendo that the UK court's decision is at odds with decisions in other countries whereas that is simply not true," he said.

"I found that very disturbing: that it was beyond the technical abilities of Apple to make the minor changes required to its own website in less time beggared belief," he added.

According to the paper, Apple has also removed a piece of code from its UK website that had allowed them to keep an apology to Samsung out of immediate sight.
