It's been all about Windows Phone for Nokia this year, despite the fact that there's no Nokia phone powered by Windows Phone in stores. Nokia CEO Stephen Elop this week promised that the company will release the first Windows Phone in late 2011 though, and it turns out that he's currently carrying it around in his pocket. A Hungarian tech blog has posted a video of Stephen Elop showing it off to a group of people that was asked not to take photos of the smartphone. Nobody said anything about recording videos though, and a video has now appeared on YouTube:

Nokia Sea Ray Exact specifications have yet to be revealed, but the tech blog reports that the first Windows Phone by Nokia is codenamed Sea Ray. While the Nokia CEO doesn't turn the Sea Ray on, recently leaked images have confirmed that it's running the upcoming Windows Phone Mango. The first batch of Nokia Windows Phones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, and a second-generation Snapdragon is the recommended, though not required, chipset for the upcoming Mango release.

The tech blog also points out that the Sea Ray has an 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, as well as a dedicated camera button. The latter is in accordance with Microsoft's guidelines for Windows Phone devices. While the Sea Ray may remind you of the recently announced Nokia N9 MeeGo smartphone, we imagine that the former will be in accordance with Microsoft's guidelines when it comes to hardware shortcut buttons too, such as the Bing Search button. That said, any user customization option Nokia is able to knock into Windows Phone would obviously be much appreciated. We'll keep our fingers crossed!
