The leader of the Rochdale child sex gang who made his victims call him "Daddy" can today be revealed as 59-year-old Shabir Ahmed.
Ahmed, who raped an under-age girl and shared her among his friends so they could also sexually abuse her, can be named after a judge in another case lifted a ban on identifying him.
Ahmed was one of nine men convicted at Liverpool crown court in May over the grooming of girls in Rochdale.
He was jailed for 19 years.
During the trial, he ripped out clumps of chest hair in a bid to demonstrate he would have left follicles of his hair at the scene of his crimes.
He also accused the judge, jury and police of being racist against Muslims, saying: "It's all white lies."
But it can now be revealed he repeatedly raped an Asian girl over many years.
The ban on identifying Ahmed was lifted yesterday after a Manchester crown court jury found him guilty of 30 counts of rape.
The girl, now an adult, claims he destroyed her life.
Ahmed, from Oldham, had denied all the charges. Judge Mushtaq Khokhar adjourned sentencing until August 2 for reports.
