For some reason, it points to his elbow, which is surely a schoolboy error.
The other way round, you could at least pretend to sing into it.
The rest of the lads welcomed his body art with all the maturity you'd expect – they each stood on stage, holding their microphones in the same position and giggling.
Harry, meanwhile, has apparently had Temper Trap lyrics added to his star tattoo.
It's as if they're basically embarking on a more expensive form of colouring in.
Money well spent.
In other tattoo news, Rihanna has had a falcon in the shape of a gun drawn on her ankle. As you do.
The singer, 24, posted photos of her, er, new bird on Twitter, saying: "Falcon: a light that shines in the darkness! Never close their eyes during sleep."
The Egyptian falcon, pictured mid-flight, is her 17th piece of body art. Somewhat aptly she had it done at Bang Bang studios in New York.
