EastEnders' Alfie Moon loses his cool and lashes out at Derek Branning after he discovers the truth about long-held suspicions his wife Kat was having an affair.
Queen Vic landlord Alfie, played by Shane Richie, vents his anger on Walford bad boy Derek (Jamie Foreman) and punches him in the face in scenes to be shown tonight.
Last night viewers saw Derek unmasked as Kat's mystery man after months of speculation in a whodunnit which has been ongoing since the summer.
He rumbled her double life after following her to a secret bedsit, where he demanded to know everything.
After discovering it was one of the Branning clan he headed to the Queen Vic to confront them, and once there he discovered it was villainous Derek.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "After finding out the truth about his wife's affair, Alfie throws everyone out of The Vic.
"However, it is not long before Derek arrives to speak to him but rather than help the situation, Derek maliciously makes things worse.
"Losing his temper, Alfie hits Derek and tells him never to step foot in his pub again."
Tonight viewers will also see Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) comforting Alfie when he is left heartbroken over the betrayal by Kat (Jessie Wallace).
"Alfie's world begins to crumble with only Roxy there to support him," the spokeswoman added.
