A JUDGE today ruled a boy SHOULD have life-saving cancer treatment - against his mum's wishes.
Club DJ Sally Roberts, 37, wanted to stop medics giving little Neon, seven, crucial radiotherapy.
She had fought the move in the High Court, despite doctors warning how without the treatment the lad could die within months.
But her pleas fell on deaf ears as Mr Justice Bodey ignored her request for a week's grace to explore other treatments.
Instead he told her he feared she was mistakenly worried about the threat to her son from the therapy.
He said: "The mother has been through a terrible time. This sort of thing is every parent's nightmare.
"But I am worried that her judgement has gone awry on the question of the seriousness of the threat which Neon faces."
Earlier this month Ms Roberts sparked a four-day manhunt after vanishing with Neon from their Devon home.
They were both found safe but Ms Roberts went to court to try and stop an op to remove remnants of his brain tumour.
She failed in that bid, but went to the High Court again to try and halt radiotherapy on the seriously ill lad.
Mr Justice Bodey's decision came after Ms Roberts was accused in court of trying to stop her son having anti-sickness medicine.
She was said to have acted after Wednesday's tumour operation and only agreed to it being administered if he was already being sick.
In Friday's hearing she had begged for an extra week to find alternative treatments for her son.
She told Mr Justice Bodey she believed radiotherapy and chemotherapy were "out-of-date".
New Zealand-born Ms Roberts pleaded: "I would like to have time to look at alternative therapies. I strongly believe there are many.
"If you give me a week I would feel much more comfortable in providing that information.
"My son is the only important thing here. I am doing this for my son. I am very sure this is what I believe."
