Brits took exception to being illegally held back at the ruck during the Lions' opening match of their tour in Hong Kong.
The South African could be seen getting into an unpleasant clash with Saracens team mate Farrell which culminated in the Barbarian hooker striking the face of his opponent.
England international Farrell reacted poorly, pushing at the face of the South African before the pair were separated.
The young fly-half then failed to maintain his discipline as he applauded the referee's decision to award Brits a yellow card.
32-year-old Brits will now miss Saracens' first three games of the season.
