At the Nokia World event today, the company announced that it will bring Instagram to the Windows Phone devices in the coming weeks.
The social app owned by Facebook is not available on Windows Phone devices.
This could potentially be very helpful in the sales of future Nokia devices as the absence of Instagram, a very popular app among smartphone users was a big reason why people frowned on Nokia phones.
Flipboard was also introduced to the Windows Phone market with the first-ever Lumia 2520 tablet that was also launched today.
Storyteller, Video Director and Beamer are some of the new own applications introduced by Nokia.
The world event also saw the unveiling of one flagship phone, Lumia 1520 and a budget phone, Lumia 1320.
