APPLE yesterday declared war on fierce rival Samsung by launching a massive lawsuit.
The US giant claims the South Korean company is "slavishly" copying its best-selling iPhone and iPad.
It insists Samsung's Galaxy smartphones and tablets rip off Apple designs and patents - even down to the BOXES in which the products are sold.
Some of the ten alleged infringements - said to be on both tablets and phones - are shown above.
Others in the 373-page lawsuit include a claim Samsung has copied "technologies" such as making swapped texts appear in bubbles on opposite sides of the screen.
There is big money at stake. The global market for tablets is set to quadruple to 70million units this year, with demand for smartphones up 60 per cent.
Apple's action was described as a "pre-emptive strike" by expert John Jackson. Samsung vowed to "respond actively".
