DAVID MOYES prays Alex Ferguson does not quit any time soon.
Even though his fellow Scot's retirement would boost his own trophy chances.
Manchester United manager Ferguson is poised to celebrate 25 years in charge at Old Trafford by clinching his 12th title.
Moyes has yet to win silverware during nine years at Everton and admits with Fergie, 69, out of the way, he would have a better chance of glory.
But Moyes, who takes his in-form Toffees to Old Trafford, said: "I think it's a great thing he doesn't retire.
"If he went we might all have a better chance of winning something.
"But he's a great help to his fellow managers. He encourages the younger ones and if you want to speak to him, he's there."
Moyes reckons Red Devils' former Everton striker Wayne Rooney is returning to form.
He added: "He's had a difficult year but he's back to his best."
