MICHAEL Crawford is back on stage seven years after fearing that chronic fatigue had ended his career.
The Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em star, 69, has spent seven years fighting myalgic encephalopathy (ME) which he picked up while appearing in Woman in White.
Crawford, now starring in Wizard of Oz said: "If anyone had told me one day I'd be back in London's West End I wouldn't have thought it possible. I thought my career had come to an end.
"I'd be totally exhausted by mid-afternoon, and I could barely climb the stairs."
Crediting his grandchildren with his comeback, he added: "I spent two weeks in Sicily with them and was so fired up with the fun I was having it actually persuaded me I wanted to do it."
