After Will and Kate's drawn-out wedding interrupted a range of regular programming including even Sesame Street, you may have had your fill of the royals for awhile. But if you like cars you'll be talking about the royal family's blue Aston Martin long after the wedding-dress chatter dies down.
And if you own a DB6 Volante like the one the newlyweds drove away from their reception (or almost any vintage Aston), this may be the time to sell.
The DB6 followed the more-famous and better-looking DB5 that will always be identified as James Bond's car from the films Thunderball and Goldfinger. While the DB5 is generally more popular, the convertible version of the DB6, called the Volante, is rare and has always been sought after.
Prices at auction have ranged from $200,000 to more than $400,000 in the past few years. But now that the car is identified with the royal couple, its audience is likely to grow and prices are almost certain to go up.
