Rumors fly over Arnold Schwarzenegger's jet hijinks - Boston Herald

Arnold Schwarzenegger's admission that he fathered a love child more than 10 years ago has brought renewed scrutiny to a 2003 story that The Terminator impregnated a stewardess who worked aboard the actor's private jet.

Just before Schwarzenegger was elected governor of California for the first time, London's Daily Mail reported that the actor had an 11-year-old son with a voluptuous blond flight attendant. The stewardess had reportedly bragged to friends that "her baby was Arnold's," the paper said.

But when she was questioned then, and again after Schwarzenegger's startling admission Monday, the woman denied the story. And an attorney for the former stewardess told Radaronline.com yesterday that the woman had a paternity test performed on her son, and it proved that Schwarzenegger was not his father.

The boy, who is now 19 and a college student in California, also insisted that he isn't the actor's son when he was reached via Facebook by Gawker.com.

"im not his son.... don't waist (sic) your time. it was just a stupid story made up 8 years ago," he wrote.

Schwarzenegger admitted to the L.A. Times on Monday that his wife, Maria Shriver, left him after he confessed to fathering a child with a "longtime member of their household staff."

"After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," Schwarzenegger said in a statement issued to The Times in response to questions. "I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

The Times did not disclose the identity of the woman or her son. However, Gawker pointed out that the alleged love child has the same first name as a character Schwarzenegger played in one of his films.

Shriver, who was married to the actor-turned-politician for 25 years, moved out of the family's Brentwood home several weeks ago after her husband returned home from the state capital and admitted his shameful secret.

"This is a painful and heartbreaking time," she said in a statement. "As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment."

The couple's 17-year-old son tweeted that the scandal was making him "feel like (bleep.)"

"Some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit," he said via Twitter. "yet I love my family til death do us apart.(sic)"

The public disgrace is not expected to do any damage to Schwarzenegger's plan to return to acting.

"Philandering has rarely, if ever, hurt anyone's career in Hollywood," box office analyst Jeff Bock told MTV.com.

And ironically, it has given Shriver's career a much-needed boost. The woman who just last month made a YouTube video begging for help as she transitioned to a new phase of her life was inundated with offers after her husband's betrayal became public.

A swarm of TV syndicators and networks are circling Shriver, some seeking interviews, others offering talk shows. Maria's longtime pal, Oprah Winfrey, reportedly is in the lead to land the first interview with the scorned Kennedy princess.
