WITHIN a day of police arresting the two men allegedly plotting to assault and rob British singer Joss Stone, Universal Music issued a press release spruiking the soul singer's upcoming album.

They will distribute her fifth studio record LP1, which the 24-year-old singer recorded in Nashville with former Eurythmics member Dave Stewart.

Stone has been flying under the radar since releasing her fourth record Colour Me Free in 2009 which failed to match the success of her previous albums.

It also marked the end of her deal with EMI who she fell out with after the multinational label was taken over by private equity firm Terra Firma.

A new single Somehow will be available on July 8 with LP1 released on July 29.

Yesterday, two men, Junior Bradshaw, 30, and Kevin Liverpool, 33, both of Manchester, North-West England, were accused of conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, Sky News reported.

Police found swords, rope and a body bag on two men arrested yesterday near the 24-year-old's isolated country home, The Sun reported.

The men also allegedly had detailed maps and aerial photos of her rural property in Cullompton, a small town in Devon, southwest England.

The singer, who has a $US14.7 million fortune, is close friends with Prince William and was at his wedding. She was not believed to have been at home at the time of the arrests.Stone, meanwhile, said she was "absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal".
