THE £2.2million fortune tragic Jade Goody hoped to leave to her sons has been almost completely wiped out by massive debts, it was claimed last night.

The Big Bother star – who died from cancer aged 27 in 2009 – wanted to leave a substantial amount for Bobby and Freddie to have what she never could.

But her plans have been devastated by debts that have swallowed up 82% of her estate, leaving just £400,000 for the boys.

She owed the Inland Revenue £585,000 after paying no tax for four years.

She also owed £170,000 in mortgage arrears, plus more than £1million in loans and fees for lawyers, accountants and agents.

A source said: "Sadly, because she lived her life in such a chaotic way, she never thought about her accounts, like a lot of celebrities.

"The debts she amassed in her final years have wiped out the boys' inheritance."

Jade's publicist Max Clifford said he could not confirm the figures but said providing for her sons after her death "meant everything to her".

He said: "If it's true it's very sad because I know how much she wanted to provide for her boys and it meant everything to her.

"I know that she earnt a lot of money in the last year (before her death).

"All we did was try to make her as much money as we possibly could."

Ms Goody's sons live with their father, TV presenter Jeff Brazier.
