In today's TechBytes: Amazon's Fire is here and it's turning up the heat on Apple's iPad.
The Kindle Fire tablet has a color touchscreen, a web browser and Amazon's huge inventory of books, movies and magazines.
It does not have a camera, but it's half the size of an iPad and best of all, half the price - $199.
Amazon is betting heavily on that feature of its new tablet and three new versions of its Kindle e-book reader.
Amazon is taking orders now for deliveries that ship on Nov. 15.
Facebook Apps and User Privacy
Facebook is under fire again.
Privacy activists are concerned that information gathered through Facebook's new apps, from the music you listen to on Spotify to the movies you watch on Netflix, will be used in future marketing campaigns.
Facebook has not said what they plan to do with the information that they collect.
