Fans will see girlband Estrella left fuming on tonight's X Factor – after their mentor Tulisa dubs them "too old-fashioned".

Gemma Davies, lead singer of the Liverpudlian band, was "totally mystified", saying: "When we found out that Tulisa was going to be our mentor, we were delighted.

"She said the thing she loved about us was that we are a proper old-fashioned group who can sing, dance and perform.

"Then when we were called to stand in front of Tulisa to get our final verdict, she said she felt we were 'too old-school' and the public wouldn't get us."

Band members are also upset because they say they rarely saw Tulisa during filming in Greece and complained that other bands she preferred got more coaching from her.

N-Dubz singer Tulisa had earlier sent boyband Chasing Keys packing for being "too posh" – prompting criticism she only likes urban acts.

Boy V Girl duo Aaron Welby, 20, and fiancée Becci Hough, 22, from Manchester, added: "Tulisa didn't want to give us the time of day because we weren't urban."
