Dragon's Den star Duncan Bannatyne's health scare was not a heart attack - The Sun

DRAGON'S Den star Duncan Bannatyne did NOT suffer a heart attack in the health scare that saw him rushed to hospital yesterday.

The tycoon, 63 – who runs several fitness clubs – was taken by ambulance to Darlington Memorial Hospital with chest pains yesterday.

He was kept in overnight and his daughters were understood to be by his bedside.

This morning he tweeted: "Just waiting for Doctors rounds but am sure I will get all clear to go home soon."

Today a Bannatyne Group spokesman said: "Everyone at the company is relieved that tests have confirmed Duncan's health scare was not a heart attack and he will be discharged from hospital later today.

"He is now to spend a few days recuperating from his chest pains away from the stresses of his busy life.

"He has asked us to thank the many hundreds of people who have contacted him to express their good wishes and support and to thank the dedicated staff at Darlington Memorial Hospital for the kindness and care."
