The pap could face a year in jail & a £36k fine if found guilty...
The photographer responsible for taking the now infamous topless pictures of Kate Middleton while on holiday with Prince William will reportedly be arrested by French police.
It is thought that the snapper's name has been handed over to the authorities who are investigating the incident, after a criminal inquiry was launched last month when French Closer magazine first published the intimate snaps.
A source has now told The Daily Mail: "A name has been offered. The photographer is expected to be held for question[ing]... imminently."
French public prosecutor Marie-Christine Daubigney stated: "This new information regarding the photographer will be passed on to investigating magistrates."
The Metro has also reported that the pap is thought to be one of a "notorious band" of press who followed William's mother Princess Diana in the week leading to her death in 1997.
A Royal insider added to The Mirror: "William and Kate are determined to bring the person who took those photos to justice and they're pushing hard for a custodial sentence. They want to make an example of this person."
The paparazzo - who is rumoured to be an Englishman living in the South of France - could face up to a year in jail and a fine of £36,000 for breach of privacy if found guilty.
