FURY erupted last night as it emerged that the EU has wasted UK foreign aid cash on a water park in Morocco.
Another chunk of the £1.6billion contributed by our taxpayers went on a £20million handout to boost tourism in Iceland.
International Development Minister Alan Duncan admitted: "We share people's anger. We are forced to give money to the European Union.
"We ask them to focus aid on poverty but they don't and we have no choice in the matter."
Brussels has given £800,000 to help the firm behind Center Parcs build the water attraction near Marrakesh.
The UK has not given aid to Morocco one of Africa's wealthier countries for around ten years. Tory MPs accused Brussels of "squandering money on an industrial scale".
Nick de Bois said: "The British taxpayer will be outraged. It's certainly not alleviating poverty."
Colleague Philip Davies added: "We can no longer afford to give money if it's not being used to help the poorest in the world."
The International Development Department said: "As a result of UK pressure, the EU is reviewing its approach."
