Five arrests over sexual abuse of young girl in Manchester - The Times (subscription)

Five men were arrested yesterday as part of a police inquiry into the alleged sexual abuse and exploitation of a young teenage girl.

More than 50 police officers took part in a co-ordinated series of raids at 11 addresses in Bolton. Detectives are continuing to seek additional members of the suspected grooming network.

Their alleged victim, who was not in care, is said to have been subjected to numerous rapes and sexual assaults which began in July 2011, when she was aged 14.
