In Pictures: Blue Jasmine premieres in London - Herald Scotland

Blue Jasmine, which stars Cate Blanchett, premiered in London last night, and brought a host of stars on to the red carpet.

Blanchett, who stars as a society woman who falls on hard times and goes to stay with her sister, looked every bit the A-lister she is in a stunning full-length black gown, hair simple tied back.

British actress Sally Hawkins, who plays her sister in the film, also wore black, in a low-key skirt and jacket combo.

Also on the red carpet were Tuppence Middleton, Rebecca Ferdinando and Tom Cullen.

The film opens at cinemas on Tuesday.
