Carlos Tevez's guard bill - The Sun

WORRIED Carlos Tevez is paying for security guards to protect him and his family from angry Manchester City fans.

The Argentina striker asked a security firm for round-the-clock protection after he returned to the UK this week.

The 27-year-old fears he has become the most hated man in Manchester after first quitting Man United for their rivals, then allegedly refusing to play for the Blues during the club's Champions League game against Bayern Munich last month.

Minders now stand guard outside his 4million mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. A source said: "Carlos is terrified for his safety and his family."

Club officials said Tevez, back training yesterday, had "breached his contract" and could be fined 1million.
