A WOMAN is to appear in court today charged with the murder of her brother.

Ashley Gray, 24, died after being stabbed in the chest at a party in his home.

He was rushed to Darlington Memorial Hospital by ­paramedics but died later of his injuries.

His sister Claire Gray, 21, of Ferryhill, County Durham, will appear at Newton Aycliffe magistrates court.

Ten other men and women aged from 16 to 26 years, were arrested at the house.

They were all later released without charge.

Mr Gray was found in the living room of the terraced house in Ferryhill, at 10pm on Friday night.

A kitchen knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was ­recovered from the house by police.
