Singer George Michael, who is hospitalised with pneumonia, is responding well to the treatment.
The 48-year-old singer, who had to cancel a host of concert dates after being hospitalised in Austria, is being treated by doctors in a private house and is so far making good progress,
Femalefirst reported.
"He got ill, it's very cold in that part of Europe, and then he got pneumonia. He's responding well to treatment, very good. But he has to rest. He's got to let this illness run its course," a friend said.
The Careless Whisper hitmaker is set to remain in Vienna until he has fully recovered from pneumonia.
Last month, he apologised to fans after he pulled out of a Symphonica show at London's Royal Albert Hall due to back problems, a viral infection and high temperature.
The concert has now been rearranged for May 2012.
