Apple confirms iPad 2 pricing for UK - ZDNet UK (blog)

Customers will be able to buy an iPad 2 from £399 when it launches in the UK on Friday, 25 March, Apple has announced.

The 16GB model will cost £399 including VAT, the 32GB version will cost £479 and the 64GB will cost £559, Apple said in a statement on Tuesday. These are all Wi-Fi-only models.

Equivalant models with 3G and Wi-Fi are each priced at £100 more.

The device — which launched 2 March — will be available from Apple retail stores and authorised retailers from 5pm and online orders open at 1am on 25 March, Apple said.

Alongside the UK, the iPad 2 will also be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland on the same day.

Apple said the device will reach Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore in April, with further territories to be announced "at a later date".
