Tinseltown trainwreck Charlie Sheen continued his war of words with his former "Two and a Half Men" cohorts yesterday, turning his venom on co-star and ex-pal Jon Cryer.
"You're with me, or you're with the trolls. Obviously he's with the trolls," Charlie told E! News via phone from Sober Valley Lodge. "What's there to say? I'll tell him, 'You're a little late. Goodbye, troll.' "
It seems Charlie's annoyed that Jon never called to declare his loyalty during the media firestorm that crested earlier this week with CBS firing the star of their most profitable sitcom.
"When I'm starring in multimillion-dollar films and he's begging me for a supporting role, I'll say, 'You left me out in the cold with all of your guilt and stupidity,' " Charlie said of Cryer.
Back in the day, Charlie and Jon were the best of buds, crashing at each other's house after their respective divorces. And just last week, Sheen told Howard Stern, "I think Jon's behind me 100 percent."
Meanwhile, "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre is searching high and, er, Lowe for a replacement for Sheen. TMZ.com reports he's zeroing in on Brat Packer and "Parks and Recreation" cutup Rob Lowe to take over Charlie's role. Sources told the Web site Lorre is very interested in keeping the show going, and he's keeping a short list of possible replacements for Charlie, including Rob.
But there may be a roadblock to Lowe joining the CBS family. Not only is he currently starring on NBC's "Parks," but he is said to be a friend of the Sheen family. You may recall Rob's role on a little show known as "The West Wing," opposite Charlie's dad, Martin Sheen. Not to mention Rob's role in the classic Brat Pack flick, "St. Elmo's Fire," opposite Charlie's bro Emilio Estevez. Do stay tuned. . . .
