Park Ji-Sung - AND HE'S NOT RUNNING!
That was more like it, wasn't it? After a pretty boring couple of days in the normally mental world of football, Man Utd's win over Chelsea at least threw up a few talking points.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest talking points is how good Ryan Giggs is. Now THAT is boring isn't it? Every sodding week - Giggs is amazing. Giggs is brilliant. How does he do it? At 37! Blah, blah, blah He is great, mind the sexy swine.
Anyway, Giggs WAS excellent (he still can't head the ball, though). Park Ji-Sung was fantastic and scored a very nice goal, Javier Hernandez is basically Ole Gunnar Solskjaer II (except he scores when he starts), Michael Carrick is doing his job very well and Wayne Rooney actually looks like he's enjoying himself again
Things are pretty w*nk for Chelsea at the moment, though. The plight of the Blues was probably best summed up by a fellow sat by The Spoiler in the pub who screamed:
"C'Mon! It's on! I f*cking knew it!"
When Didier Drogba scored, before slumping back in his seat like a chubby inflatable doll with a puncture when Park scored about three seconds later.
Things do look relatively bad for the Blues at the moment. As loathe as we are to agree with Joey Barton, Frank Lampard looks like his best years are definitely behind him. While several other players (Malouda, Anelka and maybe even Essien) have been pretty ineffective for a while and continue to be so.
Somewhat controversially, The Spoiler doesn't think the Torres issue is that big an issue. He's been rubbish this season and was injured loads last term, but he'll come good, mark our words.
Ancelotti looks like a dead man walking, which probably means another summer of spending and reshaping the squad. Which means another season of transition and probably another season without a Champions League title.
So, Man Utd are in the semi's and will probably play Schalke. Will they win it? Will they do the treble? What's the problem with Chelsea? Will Abramovich lose patience?
