Daniel Craig is still Bond, James Bond.
After much speculation, a Thursday press conference in London confirmed that the British actor, 43, will indeed reprise his role as the dashing MI6 agent in the next Bond film, entitled Skyfall. The sixth actor to play the British super-spy, Craig was rumored to be out of the franchise after just two films; Idris Elba and Timothy Gibbs actors had been mentioned as potential replacements for the iconic role.
Also on hand at Thursday's press conference was Academy-award winning director Sam Mendes, who'll helm his first Bond feature -- plus supporting cast mates Javier Bardem (previously announced as the film's villain), Dame Judi Dench (reprising her role as M), Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, new Bond girl Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw.

After the cast was introduced, Mendes took the stage and divulged details of Skyfall's plot -- an independent storyline which will "not connect with the last two movies." Quantum of Solace, released in 2008 was directed by Marc Forster, and 2006's Casino Royale was directed by Martin Campbell.
So what hairy situations will Bond suavely safe himself from now?

"Bond's loyalty to M [Dench] is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As M16 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost," said the film's press release.
