AN ex-Sunday school teacher was convicted of murdering her husband and her lover's wife yesterday.

Hazel Stewart, 48, and Colin Howell, 51, plotted to kill Trevor Buchanan and Lesley Howell who were found dead in a fume-filled car in 1991, with suicide suspected.

But Howell, now serving 21 years for murder, later confessed. Stewart, of Coleraine, Co Londonderry, will be sentenced on March 11, but Justice Anthony Hart told her she would be jailed for life.
