No sign of Ken - The Sun

The veteran Labour man was the only candidate from the big three parties not to take part — but we ran the interview anyway after sticking a "reserved for Ken Livingstone" sign on his chair.

Sun readers also quizzed Lib Dem candidate, ex-cop Brian Paddick.

Ken blundered for the second time when he dismissed the role of mayor — the post he held before Tory Boris Johnson.

He said: "I'm not persuaded of the mayoral system as it concentrates a lot of power in one person's hands."

Boris leapt on the gaffe, saying: "If Ken wants to withdraw his candidacy, now's the time to do it."
