Christine Robertson, 45, was discovered with notorious Jimmy Holland who had to be Tasered by cops just hours after he absconded from Castle Huntly open nick.
The warder showed no emotion as the verdict was read out and she was carted off to a jail cell of her own to await sentencing.
Sheriff Tom Hughes rejected a plea for bail, telling Robertson: "You have been convicted of a serious offence."
The disgraced prison officer had denied aiding and abetting Holland in March last year.
But the jury at Dundee Sheriff Court took just 52 minutes to find her guilty by majority.
They earlier heard how Holland, 41, vanished from the Perthshire jail on March 16, when he was four weeks from release.
In 1997, the violent yob who has been handed various sentences totalling 40 YEARS helped take a warder, a nurse and his own lawyer hostage.
But Robertson referred to him as her "honey monster".
Following his disappearance, police intelligence suggested he was at her flat in Monifieth, Angus. At 6.25am the next day ten riot cops burst in and found the pair naked in Robertson's bed the warder hiding under the covers and Holland holding a kitchen knife. The pair later claimed he had coerced her by threatening to send pals to burn her flat and attack her dog. He said he was only naked because he'd wet himself after drinking gin and was washing his smalls.
But the court heard of a string of cards, letters, phone calls and texts between the pair.
In one text, Robertson said: "I want you in a nice silky bed." An entry in Holland's diary read: "Don't get cheeky or I'll spank your peachy wee bum."
Robertson already suspended on another matter has been sacked by jail chiefs and will be sentenced next month.
Holland last year admitted absconding and assaulting police officers and received a further jail term over the incident.
A Scottish Prison Service spokesman said: "The public expect the highest standards from prison officers."
