'There have been tentative inquiries for quite a number of my boys but nothing has developed,' O'Neill said. I am happy we have the people but a number of players I think could benefit from going out on loan. I have to temper that with what is here.'

16.21: Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Liverpool's interest in taking Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun back to Anfield on loan. You can understand why some deals are left late, but others - like that one - baffle me. Why not get it done earlier in the summer? Still, it makes for good fun for us!

Fee agreed: Javi Garcia (left) is set to join Man City in a 24m deal

Boss Tony Mowbray has said: 'I am not anticipating any late calls unless that is a tactic from certain clubs. 16.13: Brendan Rodgers has just been quizzed by the press on several players who have been rumored to be joining Liverpool. He gave a flat 'no' to suggestions of Theo Walcott and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar signing, but was happy to discuss the talents of Daniel Sturridge. Hmm...

Should they land him, they would listen to an improved Villa bid for 21-year old Belgium striker Benteke, after turning down an initial 6million offer that was exclusively revealed in Sportsmail earlier this week. Villa are desperate for more firepower and made an unsuccessful pre-deadline approach for Fulham's Clint Dempsey.
14.10: Rafael van der Vaart has agreed terms with Hamburg and the two clubs have agreed a fee. All done now, bar the shouting. All the details on that move can be found here.
