Prince Harry set to return to royal business-as-usual - USA TODAY

Nude photos? What nude photos? Prince Harry is preparing to return to his royal business-as-usual next week with appearances at the Paralympics and at a charity benefit in London.

The British Press Association reported that Harry, an Olympic ambassador much on display at the recent London Olympics, will watch the Paralympic swimming competition at the aquatic center on Monday and later will meet British athletes at the ParalympicsGB House.

The prince's press spokesmen at Clarence House also announced, via Twitter, that Harry will attend the WellChild Awards ceremony in London on Monday, presenting the award for the Most Inspirational Child and delivering the closing speech. Harry has long been a patron of the charity, which works for quality care for seriously ill children in the U.K.

In other words, the embarrassed prince, 27, is returning to his Olympics cheering and charity work, activities that have brought him widespread admiration as recently as a week ago. Then photos of him naked in a Las Vegas hotel room appeared in the USA, and eventually in Britain's best-selling tabloid, provoking tittering and cringing around the world.

Now, in his first public appearances since the scandal blew up last week, he's hoping to move past the recriminations and reprimands from his family and army superiors and return to the charity work he's actually pretty good at.

Whether that's possible depends on still-simmering rumors about what went on in that hotel room and whether there are still more pictures and video of his bare behavior just waiting for the right price tag to cause further humiliation.
