SINGER Susan Boyle is trending on Twitter after her PR team created the hashtag #susanalbumparty.

While the intention was to promote her new album Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs From The Stage, many read "Susan album party" as "Su's anal bum party."

English model and George Clooney's ex, Lisa Snowdon, wrote on Twitter: "I don't think Susan Boyle's record company thought this hash tag thru properly..."

While Nicole Richie tweeted: "LMFAO OH MY GOD."

It is unclear whether the hashtag was a mistake or deliberate but it does follow a similar Jeopardy sketch on Saturday Night Live where one of the contestants picks the category 'An Album Cover' and pronounces it 'Anal Bum Cover'.

There has been no comment from the 51-year-old's PR team but it appears that Twitter is now well aware that Boyle has an new album out.
