New Delhi, Nov 26 London's Mayor Boris Johnson Monday met Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and offered his city's expertise in higher education, public transport and other infrastructural areas for India's capital.
"He offered expertise in the field of higher education, transport, traffic, waste management, housing and private sector financing for infrastructural developmental projects in Delhi," said a Delhi government official.
The mayor also talked about the private financing for the expansion of Delhi Metro route length and commissioning of monorail.
According to officials, Dikshit referred to the issues related to the river Yamuna and stated that the city government is working under a plan to install interceptor sewers.
Johnson told Dikshit that the city of London is yet to complete work on clean and safe Thames Project under which a separate sewerage system is being constructed underneath the river to dump the waste into the sea directly.
