Refreshed 2013 Ford Fiesta Van Has Arrived, Deliveries Starts from January
Ford has added the Aston Martin touches to not just Ford Fiesta but also to the Fiesta van. The Fiesta van is already out in the market although Ford is taking its time to introduce the light commercial vehicle version. It is already available for order in Britain and the scheduled deliveries will begin in January next year. The styling and equipment upgrades included in the 2013 model Fiesta Van are same as that of the rest of the lineup, it is highlighted by the inclusion of the new six-point front grille with chrome bars along with a host of new technologies, Active City Stop that help drivers avoid low speed accidents, in-car connectivity system SYNC with Emergency Assistance and MyKey system.
The new Fiesta Van brings an option of the new 1.5 litre Duratorq TDCi with 74bhp, the 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi with 94bhp or the 1.25-litre Duratec petrol with 81bhp. It also presents the Fiesta Van ECOnetic with a tweaked version of the 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi with stop-start, lowered suspension, low rolling resistance tyres and aerodynamic titivation to squeeze every extra mile out of a gallon.
That all adds up to all the diesel options in the Fiesta Van which provides better than 100g/km (and at least 76.4mpg as a consequence) and the ECOnetic Fiesta Van managing to get those figures down to 87g/km and 85.6mpg. Fiesta Van also includes minor interior tweaks with stuff like laser-cut headlights with LEDs, 17? alloys, as an option. The two-seater model abandons the rear seat bench of the hatch to create a load length of 1.3 metres with a capacity of 1.0 cubic metres and gross payload ranging from 485-508kg (1,070-1,120 pounds), based on the model.
