Arsenal came from behind to tie Leeds 1-1 in the third round of English soccer's F.A. Cup, as fellow Premier League clubs Blackpool, Sunderland and West Brom lost.
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas scored with a 90th-minute penalty kick to avoid an upset and to force a replay of the match in Leeds.
"It was a very difficult game," Fabregas, who came on as a second-half substitute, told ITV. "Now we have to go to Leeds. We'll have to play at our best to beat them."
Blackpool lost 2-0 at Southampton, Sunderland was beaten 2- 1 by Notts County at home and West Brom was defeated 1-0 at Reading as the top-tier clubs entered the competition today. Fulham, Birmingham, Blackburn and Everton were among the Premier League clubs winning.
Portsmouth, last season's runner-up to Chelsea, lost 3-1 to Brighton, the leader in third-tier League One.
Leeds, which is fourth in the second-division Championship, took the lead nine minutes after halftime at Emirates Stadium in London on Robert Snodgrass's penalty after Max Gardel was tripped by Denilson.
Fabregas then saved Arsenal with his penalty after Theo Walcott was grabbed by Ben Parker in the area with time winding down. Arsenal had two further chances in stoppage time, but Leeds goalkeer Kasper Schmeichel made a one-handed save off Denilson, and Nicklas Bendtner shot wide from inside the area.
Diomansy Kamera scored a hat trick to lead Fulham past Peterborough 6-2, Birmingham won 4-1 at Millwall, Blackburn topped Championship leader QPR 1-0 and Everton beat Scunthorpe 5-1.

Wigan, West Ham and Aston Villa were the other Premier League teams advancing. Wolverhampton tied Doncaster 2-2 and Stoke drew 1-1 with Cardiff to set up replays.
The two non-League clubs in action today both lost as Bolton scored twice late to beat York 2-0 and Huddersfield defeated Dover by the same score.
Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley, Burton Albion, Coventry, Leyton Orient, Nottingham Forest, Swansea, Torquay and Watford also won to advance to the fourth round. Newcastle is at Stevenage later today.
